Parties
Funky Moves Kids brings the best in children’s entertainment to your party. Recently, dance fever has hit this country and the kids now want something a little bit different for their parties. Rather than having an entertainer or a clown, Funky Moves can come and teach a seriously funky dance session, where the kids get to feel and act like pop stars.
Party Options
Funky Moves can come to your party for as little or as much time as you require us for. We can either come as an entertainer, just to teach a dance routine and then leave you to the rest of the party, or we can do the whole party and take all the stress off you. For a complete party package, the usual length of time for a party is 2 hours. We come and keep the kids entertained for the whole time, while you just chose the venue, provide the tea and relax. However, each party is specifically designed for you so the schedule will be customised according to the age of the children, theme of party and the birthday girl/boys choices.
The parties are made up of the following:.
- Funky Moves Dance Party (includes dance warm up, funky routines and fun games)
- Mini Performance - optional (the parents turn up 10 minutes early and watch the fantastic routines that all of the kids have learnt in a mini performance - great fun and well worth it!)
- Makeover - optional (includes sparkly make up and coloured/glittery hair sprays. For the boys we bring hair gel and coloured hair sprays)
- Pass the Parcel - optional (great presents with fun forfeits and can be themed if required)
- Extras ie: pinata, pom poms etc. (if you require any extra games or props in the
party then it is possible to add these on at an extra cost)
Theme Ideas
Add a theme to the party. The routine, make overs and performance can all be themed
to fit your child's wishes. Here are a couple of ideas:
- High School Musical Party. The real routines from High School Musical will be taught and a performance for the parents is a great addition. Great for all ages and any kids keen on High School Musical.
- Pop star of your choice, e.g.: A Kylie Minogue Dance Party. Routines to Kylie's best tracks will be taught. Then you could add the make over option to get the girls looking as glam as Kylie herself, and the boys as funky as pop stars. A performance would round the party off perfectly.
- Stomp/African party - the kids will learn a fantastic routine to African style drum beats
and then do their own percussion style dance in groups.
The makeover will include African style face paints with a great performance at the end. Suitable for the older kids (10 and above) - Hairspray party - funky 60s style dance routines will be taught to the songs from Hairspray. A fun and different party for all ages.
- Combination party, e.g.: An Indian/Street Dance party. A routine in each style will be taught and then a combination routine as well. The makeup can be tailored to look more Indian and the performance will have a wonderful effect.
