How did Funky Moves Begin?
Funky Moves was started in 2005 by professional dancer, Alice Thorpe. Her love
of dance and enthusiasm in the benefits which come from teaching dance to kids,
was her inspiration for starting the company. The focus was to make dancing
accessible to everyone, whether it be classes or dance parties at your home
or public classes locally to you. A fun and vibrant teaching style and dance
technique is what defines the company and is the reason that kids love
Funky Moves.
It's popularity has grown hugely over thelast 5 years,
reflecting the quality
of dance services provided.
What do we offer?
Funky Moves offers a new wave of dance activity for kids. There are no limits to our
customised dance classes and parties which we provide. Whether it's a weekly class,
a one off workshop, a fab party or a holiday course, our great team of teachers at
Funky Moves will keep the kids entertained and having a fantastic time. The majority
of classes and parties are in our fun street dance style, but other styles are available
so just contact us.
Who can be a funky mover?
We believe that anyone can be a funky mover with the right teaching.
Funky Moves is currently based in London, but we do sometimes travel
further afield so please do contact us with any queries. Our classes/parties
are for any child between the age of 5 and 16. Also see our pages on
