Sarah Wilkie
Sarah began her performing career as a gymnast, in which she trained in
artistic and acrobatics from the age of nine. In 1999 she represented
Great Britain in the World Gymnaestrada, Sweden as part of the Zodiaks
display team. Following this, her passion for dance grew and she started
performing as a cheerleader with the Scottish Claymores, doing events such
as the CIS cup Final at Hampden Park. Deciding that dance was the career
path that she wanted to follow, Sarah then trained for three years in
Scotland, before graduating with a first class honours degree from
Doreen Bird College, Kent.
Since graduating Sarah has worked in commercial, musical theatre and
corporate events with credits including the 'Railway Ball 2009', 'Musical
Starlights' European Tour and a Sony Music video by 'Gypsy and the Cat'.
Sarah has been teaching children for many years as a freelance dance
instructor specializing in Street Jazz, Jazz and Commercial, as well as
coaching and choreographing floor and beam routines for local
gymnastics teams.
