Leanne Hammacott
Leanne comes from a background in dance/body and technology, graduating
from Middlesex University with a BA Hons in Dance Studies. Leanne was
project manager with Future Physical between 2001-4 involved in the
commissioning of 20 new art technology pieces, and of a 3 year programme
of Virtual Incarnations for Dance Umbrella Festival. She worked as assistant
rehearsal director and ran workshops for several dance and technology
projects including; Virtual Incarnations (ICA/Dance Umbrella), and with
Akademi of Indian Dance leading and performing in workshops on
Telematics and Identity.
Leanne has been involved as production and project manager for many live
event and performance productions both in the UK and internationally
including Cybersonica Late at Tate Britain, Left Field at Glastonbury Festival
and MPT as part of Hide and Seek Festival, London. She is now a creative
trainer and delivers workshops exploring how young people will work and
play with technology and movement. Leanne is a fantastic party assistant
and has a great connection with kids and having fun. She has been on board
with Funky Moves since the beginning - and loves it!
