Alice Thorpe

Director of Funky Moves.
Alice started dancing at the age of 3 and is a trained ballet, contemporary
and street dancer. She trained in dance all the way through her childhood,
including GCSE dance and A level dance before earning a first class honours
in her Dance Performance degree at Middlesex University. Alice then
moved on to London Contemporary Dance School with a scholarship while
also being accepted in to National Youth Dance Company 2001/2002.
After graduating from LCDS, Alice performed with many contemporary
companies around the UK and Portugal, as well as appearing in music videos...
the most recent being Calvin Harris's 'The Girls'. She has also worked with
Dance for camera and the films have been shown at the Tokyo Film and
Dance Festival as well as at The Big Chill Festival.

Alice has taught both adults and children extensively and has a great
reputation as a dance teacher. Her experience includes: appearing on
Fit Farm (Channel 4), devising and teaching her own Dance for Fitness style
for adults, private classes for both kids and adults, public classes for kids
and adults and teaching anything from small to large dance parties.
Her focus is always on having fun whilst getting fit and she brings energy,
great dance routines and professionalism wherever she teaches.
Alice started Funky Moves five years ago and is thrilled to have such a
great team of fabulous teachers.
